Heather Locklear Drinking Again And Taking Ozempic

According to reports, the once-successful actress Heather Locklear, who has experienced a life-long struggle with addiction, has fallen off the wagon again. Her support network, including her ex Richie Sambora and her daughter Ava, are extremely concerned. A source told the Daily Mail that the celeb, who has battled alcoholism throughout the years, was drinking again and that her family feels “helpless.”

A video of the 61-year-old star surfaced, showing Locklear talking to herself and appearing distressed as she walked on the ledge of an office building, her hair looking disheveled. In 2018, Locklear was placed on a psychiatric hold when her therapist decided she was having a mental breakdown after an arrest for battery of a police officer.

The anonymous insider who spoke out to the Daily Mail said that Tequila has always been the drink of choice for the “Melrose Place” alum and that it was very difficult for her to stay away from it. The source also said that Heather Locklear lost 40 pounds after taking the diabetes drug Ozempic. One of the side effects of Ozempic is weight loss, and the source added, “She obsesses over her weight.”

They also mentioned that daughter Ava Sambora was having a difficult time as she had a “front-row seat to her mother’s addictions.” Despite all this troubling information coming to light, a friend of the actress spoke out to Page Six, saying she was “totally lucid” and “most definitely not drinking.” The footage seems to contradict, especially when you consider that Heather has been dealing with mental health issues and substance abuse for years. Based on reports, the celeb has been to rehab at least 20 times.

Sobriety is not an easy journey, and a source says that since Locklear didn’t receive a punishment or have to deal with accountability for her battery of a cop back in 2018, she inevitably relapsed. The insider shared, “Heather got off so easy with no probation or accountability after beating up cops and then threatening EMT ambulance drivers.”

According to this person, Locklear’s fiancé Chris Heisser (who was also her high school sweetheart) has been working around the clock to try and keep her healthy. In 2021, Locklear was quoted saying she didn’t care if she got married to him. Chris has been driving her for errands and lying to friends and family to keep her substance abuse issues under wraps, all while trying to sustain his own career as a businessman.

Many believe that she’ll return back to rehab at some point, as she’s been drinking for months. Just three years ago, in 2020, Heather Locklear celebrated her one year of sobriety by posting on social media. Part of the lengthy caption said, “I’ve learned that no matter what happens, or how bad it seems today, life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow.”

Despite still being active on social media, many of her posts and behavior raise an eyebrow, and we truly hope that the future will be better for Locklear if she embraces help from her loved ones and professionals.
