Gossip can give way to some pretty wild claims, but one with Jennifer Aniston and Barack Obama is the most outlandish allegation we’ve heard this year. Lindsey Weber made speculations about the “Who? Weekly” podcast to co-host Bobby Finger. When InTouch Weekly picked up on the rumor, they wrote an article called “Barack & Jen: What’s Really Going On” in August 2024.
The podcast’s official account responded to the piece on X, formerly known as Twitter, saying,
“OK InTouch subscribes to our Patreon????????????????? when world exclusive… is you.” Although the account claims that Weber’s information came from reliable sources, Weber acknowledged that the unlikely rumor could be fake news.
The ex-POTUS and the “Friends” alum have never been linked in the press before with reports of serious rumors. However, this isn’t the first time that a publication has mentioned the actress and former president. Back in 2014, The Economist posted a satirical article in which they joked around about People magazine reporting an affair between Obama and Aniston.
In the same Economist article, they also made the claim that Obama had fathered four kids with fellow politician Hillary Clinton. The point of this piece was to make a sarcastic comment about how the American public expects their politicians to have reputations that are perfectly unflawed, as opposed to French society, which has an anything-goes attitude towards their political figures.
Still, this didn’t stop people from taking it seriously when the rumor made the rounds in 2024. One user on X commented, “Been a rumor since 2014 apparently!” But InTouch was still skeptical about the rumors.
Jennifer Aniston denied she was ever personally involved with Obama
In terms of hookup rumors, Aniston could do worse than the charming and handsome Obama. But she was fast to clear her name as a home-wrecker. Lindsay Weber’s source claimed that Obama and Aniston had become closer in recent years, with a source commenting, “With the election coming up in November, Jen has gotten very political, so sheʼs found herself in Barackʼs world a lot lately.” The source also added that since Obama has been more involved in Hollywood, he was in “Jen’s world.”
It’s true that Barack and his wife Michelle have a production company called Higher Ground, which does put him more in the realm of celebrities as of late. The insider spilled some gossip that Barack and Jen have “a lot in common” and are talking to each other a lot nowadays.
They added that Michelle isn’t too happy about the news that her husband and the actress are “chummy,” saying that while she’s not happy about Jen “stealing her husband’s attention,” she doesn’t feel threatened. The ex-FLOTUS isn’t worried that the friendship will turn into a romance because she trusts her husband.
Although Aniston’s rep did admit that she’s a fan of Barack Obama (who isn’t?) the “Morning Show” actress denied having any relationship with Obama. The extent of their association is that she donated $2,300 to his campaign in both 2007 and once. More in 2008. However, she also showed financial support for other politicians, fundraising for Hillary Clinton in 2016. In 2020, she publicly endorsed Joe Biden.

Has Obama cheated on his wife Michelle?
Many people see Barack and Michelle as the perfect fairytale love story, but is there more to it? Their marriage has had it’s moment of controversy which are well-documented in the tabloids. Sheila Miyoshi Jager, a woman who Barack supposedly nearly married pre-Michelle, mentioned that she and Barack had intimate relations between 1991 and 1992, even though Michelle was officially his new beau.
Jager dated Barack for approximately three years in the 1980s. Although she moved to South Korea after their breakup, the two allegedly reconnected when she came back to the United States for a fellowship at Harvard University, where Barack was studying law at the time. Jager said that though Barack spoke freely about being with Michelle, he also shared mixed feelings about his relationship with her.
Like any couple, Barack and Michelle have experienced highs and lows in their marriage. Much of the tension came not from other women or infidelity claims but from his presidency, which was stressful for both of them.
In 2023, during an appearance on CBS Mornings, Barack mentioned that his marriage improved when the family moved out of the White House. When speaking to Revolt TV in 2022, Michelle said that raising young kids added stress as well, since both she and her husband were juggling growing their careers with parental responsibilities.
