You may have never heard of the name April Bowlby, but chances are you’ve actually seen her on the big screen. Even though she might not be considered an A-list actor, she is known for her roles in different television shows that have gone a long way in establishing her career. Her work in film and TV has catapulted her reputation, namely her role in the hit sitcom Two and A Half Men. With her still flying under the radar to a certain extent despite her success, there is a lot that most people do not know about her. How she got started on Two and a Half Men.

You may remember her from Two and a Half Men, but April Bowlby actually has a few different productions under her belt. She began her career in 2004, but got her breakout role in 2005 when she was cast in Two and a Half Men. She then became a recurring character in season 3 of the series. She also plays a popular character in Titans and Doom Patrol

How April Bowlby got her start in television initially. 

April Bowlby attended Moorpark College in California. After graduation, she started a career in modeling, and then proceeded to pursue acting. She studied drama under the mentorship of world renowned acting coach Ivana Chubbuck. Chubbuck has coached some of the greats, like Charlize Theron, Sharon Stone, Beyonce, Jim Carrey, Halley Berry, Brad Pitt and many others. 

April Bowlby has also starred in several movies. 

Outside of her work in television, April Bowlby has also gotten her feet wet in film as well. She made her debut in film in 2008, with her role as Natasha in All Roads Lead Home, which was directed by Dennis Fallon. Her latest movie credit is from the 2021 British comedy called Father Christmas is Back, in which she starred the character Jackie. 

April Bowlby became a first Elasti-Woman in the DC Comics world. 

Before April Bowlby, the DC Comics superhero Elasti-Woman had never been portrayed by a real person. She only appeared in cartoon shows or films. So when April Bowdly was cast to play the live action version of Elasti-Woman, she made history as the first person to ever portray this superhero in human form. Elasti-Woman is also known as Elasti-Girl, has a civilian alias of Rita Farr. She can regenerate, has the power of elasticity and can shift her size. She was first cast in the role in the DC Universe series Titans, which appeared on HBO Max. She then reprised the role in the series Doom Patrol. 

April Bowlby has also appeared in other television shows. 

April Bowlby is also known for her appearances in other well known televisions shows. She had some appearances in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, as well as CSI: NY. She was also in How I Met Your Mother, starring as Meg. 

April Bowlby is married to a filmmaker. 

Since December 2020, April has been married to filmmaker Matthew Cooke. Cooke is a writer, director and producer. He has worked on productions like How to Make Money Selling Drugs and Survivors Guide to Prison
